Antetokounmpo is extension-eligible this summer, but it makes little sense business-wise for him to lock down a deal at this point in time. He stands to make more money by waiting until next summer to do something, and there’s also the desire to ensure that his vision for competing for (and winning) championships is aligned with that of the Bucks. “The real question’s not going to be this year — numbers wise it doesn’t make sense,” Antetokounmpo told the Times. “But next year, next summer it would make more sense for both parties. Even then, I don’t know. … I would not be the best version of myself if I don’t know that everybody’s on the same page, everybody’s going for a championship, everybody’s going to sacrifice time away from their family like I do. And if I don’t feel that, I’m not signing.” As is the case quite often, get ready for the NBA masses to read into every word of this, especially with Giannis having a player option for the 2025-26 season. Having last appeared in an NBA game during the 2020-21 season as a member of the Sacramento Kings, Robinson is looking to earn himself another opportunity. In addition to Boston, he has also worked out for the Warriors this summer. The Celtics are looking to round out their roster, and in addition to GRIII it’s been reported that T.J. Warren, Lamar Stevens, and Louis King have all scheduled workouts with the team. Boston only has 13 players under contract for next season, and they have five open training camp slots to work with as well.

Croatia’s chances of qualifying for next summer’s Olympic Games in Paris were kept alive on Sunday as they managed to knock off Turkey in Istanbul. And Saric led the way, showing off a versatile offensive repertoire. He’s close to two years removed from the ACL tear that he suffered during the 2021 NBA Finals and appears to be a solid fit for the Warriors’ offensive system. Saric will definitely merit consideration as a late-round pick in fantasy leagues come draft time.

Harrell was diagnosed with a torn ACL and meniscus a few weeks ago, and he finally had surgery to repair it. He is considered out indefinitely. Harrell re-signed with Philadelphia this summer, but they also added Mo Bamba and brought back Paul Reed. Philly will have plenty of center depth behind Embiid even if Harrell misses the majority of the season.

The Celtics are looking to add some wing depth, and they’ll meet with both players this week. Neither guy contributed in fantasy last season, with Warren spending time in both Brooklyn and Phoenix, while Stevens played for Cleveland. If either player joins Boston, they’ll provide depth, but they won’t impact the fantasy hoops landscape. Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto added that Louis King will also work out for the Celtics this week.

Harden received the fine after he called Daryl Morey a liar and said that he would never play for an organization that he’s apart of again. The NBPA has attempted to get the fine taken away, which should help Harden’s pockets if it works out. The situation has reached a tipping point, and all eyes will be on Philadelphia to see if he reports to training camp.

The “stretch” simply refers to the pay frequency of McGee’s remaining contract, and he’ll be let go by Dallas shortly. The big man’s departure shouldn’t be too shocking considering the signing of Richaun Holmes and the drafting of Derick Lively II. Both centers have a chance to be viable options in 12-team leagues this season, provided they see enough playing time.

Here we go again! The Harden saga is far from over, so pop some popcorn and get comfy as we await further shenanigans from he and Morey, who will surely be considered to star in any future reboots of the 1970s classic “The Odd Couple.” Harden has been a first or second-round fantasy player for most of his career, but managers should approach with extreme caution on draft day if this mess hasn’t been sorted out. Tyrese Maxey and De’Anthony Melton stand to benefit tremendously if Harden doesn’t suit up for Philly this season.

McClung got a lot of hype last season after resurrecting the Slam Dunk Contest and putting on one of its best performances in years. Outside of the All-Star festivities, however, it’s unlikely McClung makes much of an impact, especially in Orlando’s crowded backcourt. He can be left on the waiver wire in all but the deepest of redraft leagues.

The 28th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Labissiere is returning to the city where he began his NBA career (Sacramento acquired his draft rights from the Suns). The former Kentucky big man was unable to establish himself in the NBA, and he has spent his last two professional seasons in the G League. Labissiere is unlikely to be a fantasy asset next season, regardless of league size.
